Get Backup Expert Services Terms

Document version: vGBTERMS-1.3 · Effective date: 2026-07-12 · Last updated: 2026-08-18

Version history: vGBTERMS-1.3 (2026-08-18) — the AI-persona name removed from the naming note (founder: persona names are reserved for future use and do not live in customer documents); no substantive term changed. vGBTERMS-1.2 (2026-08-18) — the AI persona renamed from "Nurse Sorxi" to "Charge Sorxi" in the naming note; no substantive term changed. vGBTERMS-1.1 (2026-08-17) — Section 8.4 corrected on 2026-08-02 to state that live billing is enabled through Stripe (it previously said billing was gated and provisioning manual); no other change. vGBTERMS-1.0 (2026-07-12) — counsel-reviewed original.

These Get Backup Expert Services Terms ("Get Backup Terms") govern each purchase of human expert help through the Get Backup feature of the Sorxi One Service. They are the terms you accept, per purchase, when you buy a Get Backup service. They are part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Use (see the Terms of Use), and they work together with the Subscription, Billing, Refunds & Cancellations terms (see the Subscription, Billing, Refunds & Cancellations). On any matter specific to Get Backup expert services — scoping, tiers, how purchased time is used, delivery, refunds for expert work, and disputes about expert work — these Get Backup Terms control over the general billing terms. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the glossary (see the Glossary).

The Service is offered in the United States only and is not intended for anyone under 18. You must be able to enter into a binding contract to purchase. Prices, durations, block sizes, credits, and time periods are those disclosed to you in the Service at the time of purchase; do not rely on any figure stated elsewhere.

One name matters throughout: "Sorxi Expert Nurse" (also "an Expert") is a real human expert who performs the paid work described here. Get Backup connects you to a Sorxi Expert Nurse — a real person, not an AI voice.

1. What Get Backup is

  1. Human expert help, scoped by Sorxi. Get Backup is a paid path to human help from a Sorxi Expert Nurse for defined, educational and policy-adjacent work. You describe what you need; Sorxi confirms the appropriate scope and route; and, once you purchase, a Sorxi Expert Nurse performs the work and returns a Deliverable to you inside the Service.
  1. Educational and policy-adjacent only. Get Backup work is educational and process-guidance work. It is not clinical decision support, not patient-specific advice, not legal, compliance, accreditation, or survey-readiness advice, and it is not the drafting, approval, or certification of your organization's policy. See Section 6.
  1. Sorxi's scope and routing authority. You describe the need and pick a starting path. Sorxi has the final authority to confirm the appropriate scope and to re-route your request to a different path — including declining it — before any substantive paid work begins. The core rule is: the customer describes the need; Sorxi determines and confirms the appropriate scope and route. Sorxi will not begin substantive paid work until scope is confirmed (see Sections 2 and 3).
  1. Not a marketplace. You purchase a service from Sorxi. Sorxi assigns the Sorxi Expert Nurse. You do not select, contract with, or pay an Expert directly.

2. Scoping and routing

  1. Describing your need. You describe what you need in the Service, and Sorxi determines and confirms the appropriate path. There is no free triage or free consultation — expert scoping, where a request needs it, is the paid Scope Check described below.
  1. Scope Check (paid scoping). When a request needs a Sorxi Expert Nurse to scope it before it can be routed or priced, Sorxi offers a paid Scope Check. A Scope Check is expert time spent scoping and routing your request. It results in a recommended path (for example, a Help Block, a Work Block, or a Custom engagement), not in the underlying project work itself.
  1. Scope Check credit. If, after a Scope Check, you proceed with the recommended Work Block or Custom engagement for the same project within the period disclosed at purchase (14 days), the amount you paid for the Scope Check is credited toward that Work Block or Custom engagement. The credit applies only toward a Work Block or a Custom engagement for the same project; it does not apply toward a Subscription or a Help Block, is one-time, is not transferable, and is not redeemable for cash. The credit amount, the qualifying window, and how the credit is applied are those disclosed to you in the Service.
  1. Scope confirmed before work starts. Before a Sorxi Expert Nurse begins paid work under a Work Block or a Custom engagement, the scope of the work is confirmed with you in a short written scope confirmation (objective, outputs, materials, assumptions, exclusions, any meetings, timeline, and named contact) that you approve. Work proceeds against that confirmed scope.

3. Service tiers

Get Backup is offered as a small ladder of tiers. The price of each tier is the price disclosed to you in the Service at checkout ([PRICE — as disclosed at checkout]); this document does not state prices.

  1. Scope Check. Paid scoping and routing by a Sorxi Expert Nurse, as described in Section 2. Purchased upfront. Credit toward a Work Block or Custom engagement as described in Section 2.3.
  1. Help Block. One focused work aid or one planning question, covering up to 60 minutes of expert time. Purchased upfront. If your need cannot be met within the Help Block, Sorxi pauses and recommends a Scope Check, a larger block, or a Custom engagement before doing more work; additional work is not performed, and you are not charged more, without your approval.
  1. Work Block. Up to 4 hours of expert time on a single defined project, purchased upfront, and performed against the written scope confirmation described in Section 2.4. A Work Block buys time toward a defined objective, not a fixed number of deliverables.
  1. Additional Expert Time. If a defined project needs more time than the Work Block covers, additional expert time may be purchased in increments (for example, 2-hour increments), each added only with your approval. Sorxi pauses at approximately 75% of purchased time used and asks whether you want to add time before continuing. When a project reaches approximately 12 hours of expert time, Sorxi moves it to a Custom engagement rather than continuing to add increments. Each increment is a separate purchase against your existing project; the size and price of each increment are those disclosed at checkout.
  1. Custom engagement. Larger or organizational work — for example multi-stakeholder work, facilitation, recurring work, or an AI-readiness engagement — is handled as a Custom engagement. A Custom engagement is not a self-serve upfront purchase: a Sorxi Expert Nurse prepares a written quote, you accept the quote (this is where your per-purchase consent for the Custom engagement is captured), and the engagement is billed by invoice. A Custom engagement may be handled under a separate order or statement of work (see the Project SOW Template) and, for organization customers, under the Organization Agreement & Order Form.

4. How purchased time is used

  1. Time-based, not deliverable-count-based. Except for the Help Block (which is scoped to one focused aid or question), paid tiers buy a block of expert time toward a defined objective. All work an Expert does on your project — meetings, preparation, research, drafting, and quality review — consumes purchased time.
  1. Targets are not commitments. Any target date or turnaround Sorxi shows you is a good-faith target, not a commitment or a service-level guarantee. Sorxi does not promise a specific turnaround. Targets are labeled as targets in the Service.
  1. Unused time. Purchased time that is not used is handled as disclosed at the time of your purchase. As a general matter, unused time may be applied to one related follow-up within the period disclosed at purchase (30 days), after which it expires. Purchased time and follow-ups are tied to your account, are for the same or a related need, and are not transferable to another person or organization.

5. No PHI and no confidential materials

  1. Do not enter protected or confidential information. You must not enter, upload, or share protected health information (PHI), patient identifiers, EHR screenshots, or confidential employer documents in a Get Backup request, message thread, or any material you send to a Sorxi Expert Nurse, unless and until Sorxi offers a separate, approved secure workflow for that material. This mirrors the No-PHI & Confidentiality Policy and the Terms of Use.
  1. Screening posture. Sorxi asks you to keep such information out of Get Backup and designs the flow to reduce the chance it is entered. You remain responsible for what you submit. If Sorxi becomes aware that prohibited information was entered, Sorxi may remove it and may pause or decline the request.
  1. Scope of work respects this boundary. Because Get Backup does not accept PHI or confidential employer materials, the work is scoped so it does not require them. Requests that cannot be performed without such materials will be re-routed or declined (Section 1.3).

6. Scope and boundaries of expert work

  1. Educational scope. A Sorxi Expert Nurse provides educational and policy-adjacent materials and guidance only. Experts do not provide clinical decision support, patient-specific advice, legal, compliance, accreditation, or survey-readiness determinations, and they do not write, approve, or certify your organization's policy.
  1. Requests Sorxi may decline or re-route. Sorxi may decline or re-route any request that seeks clinical decision support, legal advice, a compliance or accreditation determination, or local policy approval, or that would require prohibited materials (Section 5).
  1. "Reviewed with recommendations" is a status, not an approval. When a Sorxi Expert Nurse returns a Deliverable marked "Reviewed with recommendations," that status describes the review that was performed. It is not an approval, endorsement, certification, sign-off, or a determination that anything is compliant or accredited, and it does not change the fees owed for the work.
  1. Your local review is required. Every Deliverable is provided for your own local review, adaptation, and approval before use. You are responsible for reviewing each Deliverable and for any decision to use it. See the disclaimers in the Terms of Use.
  1. No continuing-education credit. Get Backup work does not carry continuing-education credit, contact hours, or accreditation, and implies no board endorsement.

7. Delivery and acceptance

  1. Delivered in the Service. A completed Deliverable is delivered to you inside the Service, where you can read, copy, and download it. The delivered Deliverable is a fixed record of the work as delivered; it is not a live document that changes afterward.
  1. Acceptance is acknowledgment, not a payment gate. Because Get Backup is paid upfront (except for Custom engagements, which are invoiced after you accept the quote), your acknowledgment that you received the Deliverable ("accepting" delivery) confirms the work is complete on your side. It is an acknowledgment step, not a step that releases or withholds payment. You can read the Deliverable whether or not you have acknowledged it.
  1. Sources and disclaimers travel with the Deliverable. Deliverables carry their sources and the standard trust and disclaimer language. Nothing in a Deliverable is clinical, legal, compliance, or accreditation advice (Section 6).

8. Payment, consent, and pricing

  1. Prices at checkout. The price and, for a Custom engagement, the quoted amount, together with the currency (U.S. dollars) and any applicable taxes, are disclosed to you before you complete the purchase. You confirm the charge at checkout, or, for a Custom engagement, when you accept the quote. This document does not state prices.
  1. How you are charged. The fixed tiers (Scope Check, Help Block, Work Block, and Additional Expert Time increments) are charged upfront at purchase. A Custom engagement is billed by invoice after you accept the written quote. Payments are processed through Stripe; Sorxi does not receive or store your full payment card number (see the Subscription, Billing, Refunds & Cancellations and the Subprocessors section of the Privacy Policy).
  1. Per-purchase consent. Each Get Backup purchase records that you accepted these Get Backup Terms for that purchase, including the version of these terms in effect at the time. See Section 11.
  1. Live billing. Live billing is enabled: Get Backup purchases are charged through Stripe at the price disclosed at checkout, and Sorxi presents the required disclosures at checkout before you confirm. Refunds Sorxi owes you are processed to your original payment method (Section 9).

9. Refunds

  1. Refund posture (product policy). You may request a refund for a Get Backup purchase, and Sorxi may issue a refund, at any time from purchase up to the point you accept the completed Deliverable. Once you accept the delivered work as complete, that purchase is final and is not refundable through the Service; any later adjustment is handled by Sorxi as an exception on a case-by-case basis. There is no fixed day-limit before acceptance; Sorxi exercises reasonable judgment, and because Get Backup is expert time, work already performed reflects time already spent.
  1. How refunds are decided. Whether a refund is due depends on how much work has been performed and the circumstances of the request. If Sorxi cancels or cannot fulfill a request, or re-routes it in a way that leaves an unused paid purchase, Sorxi refunds the affected amount. Refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe.
  1. How to request a refund. Email help@sorxi.com with your account email and the purchase you are asking about. Sorxi will respond and, where a refund is due, process it to your original payment method.
  1. Custom engagements. Refunds for a Custom engagement follow the same posture and are handled under the applicable order or statement of work, reflecting time and work already performed.
  1. Statutory rights. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund or cancellation rights you have under applicable law.

10. Disputes and chargebacks

  1. Contact support first. If you believe you were charged in error or do not recognize a Get Backup charge, please contact help@sorxi.com before disputing the charge with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved quickly and directly.
  1. What happens during a chargeback. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, Sorxi may respond to the payment processor with records of the transaction and your account activity. While a dispute is open on a Get Backup purchase, Sorxi may pause or freeze fulfillment of that purchase — a Sorxi Expert Nurse may stop or not begin work while the dispute is pending. If the dispute is resolved in a way that returns the funds to you, Sorxi may treat the purchase as unpaid and may suspend or limit access to the associated work. Sorxi does not contest disputes automatically and works in good faith to resolve legitimate disputes.

11. Changes and version pinning

  1. Changes to these terms. Sorxi may change these Get Backup Terms, the tiers, the durations, block sizes, credits, and time periods. Changes apply to purchases made after the change takes effect. Sorxi updates the document version and effective date when these terms change materially.
  1. Version pinning. The version of these Get Backup Terms in effect when you make a purchase is recorded and pinned to that purchase (the terms_version recorded per purchase is this document's version identifier, gbterms-1.3). This per-purchase record is separate from the account-level acceptance of the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. See the Privacy Policy for how consent is recorded, and the Click-Wrap Consent & Evidence Specification for how acceptance evidence is retained.

12. Relationship to other terms

  1. These Get Backup Terms are part of the Terms of Use and are read together with the Subscription, Billing, Refunds & Cancellations, the No-PHI & Confidentiality Policy, the Intellectual Property & License Terms, and the Privacy Policy.
  1. On a matter specific to Get Backup expert services, these Get Backup Terms control over the general billing terms. On all other matters, the Terms of Use control. A Subscription is not required to purchase Get Backup, and cancelling a Subscription does not by itself refund or cancel a Get Backup purchase.
  1. Custom engagements and organization work may also be governed by a separate order, statement of work, or the Organization Agreement & Order Form; where a signed order or SOW covers the same subject, that document controls for that engagement.
