Subscription, Billing, Refunds & Cancellations

Document version: vBILL-1.0 · Effective date: 2026-07-29 · Last updated: 2026-08-17

These billing terms explain how paid access to the Sorxi One Service works: what is offered, how you are charged, how automatic renewal works, how to cancel, and how refunds and disputes are handled. They are part of, and incorporated into, the Terms of Use (see the Terms of Use). If there is a conflict between these billing terms and the Terms of Use on a billing matter, these billing terms control. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the glossary (see the Glossary).

The Service is offered in the United States only and is not intended for anyone under 18. You must be able to enter into a binding contract to purchase.

1. What Sorxi offers

Sorxi provides paid and free access to a single web application at sorxi.com. The offerings are:

  1. Free Tier. A metered free level of access that includes 5 agentic runs per calendar month. See Section 2.
  1. Subscription. One flat, all-tools paid Subscription. A single Subscription unlocks the full Workbench: the Prep, Process, and Build tool modes and the Get Backup escalation path. The Subscription is billed on a recurring cycle disclosed to you at checkout. See Sections 3 through 6.
  1. Content kits (a-la-carte). Paid Content kits purchased individually, offered on a "Quick Check" to "Ready Kit" ladder. These are one-time purchases, not part of the Subscription, unless the checkout states otherwise. See Section 7.
  1. Get Backup expert services. Human expert help from a Sorxi Expert Nurse, purchased as defined service tiers (Scope Check, Help Block, Work Block, Additional Expert Time, and quoted Custom engagements). There is no free triage. These purchases are governed by the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, which control over these billing terms on Get Backup matters. See Section 8.
  1. Continuing-education activities. Activities Sorxi designates as approved California continuing education, purchased separately or included with a Subscription as disclosed. Refunds and cancellation for these are in Section 9.3 and the Continuing Education Participant Policy.

Prices, block sizes, run limits, billing cycles, and included features are those disclosed to you in the Service at the time of purchase. Do not rely on any figure stated elsewhere.

2. Free Tier

The Free Tier lets you use the Workbench a limited number of times each month at no charge.

  1. What is included. The Free Tier includes 5 agentic runs per calendar month, plus access to features that Sorxi designates as free, which may include content teasers and export of your own saved work. The exact included features are those shown in the Service.
  1. When runs reset. Free runs reset at the start of each calendar month. Unused free runs do not roll over to the next period.
  1. No "buy more runs" path. There is no option to purchase additional individual runs. When you reach the Free Tier limit, the path forward is to start a paid Subscription, which unlocks the full Workbench. The Free Tier converts to a Subscription; it is not topped up.
  1. Changes to the Free Tier. Sorxi may change the number of included runs, the reset schedule, or the free feature set. Where a change materially reduces the Free Tier, Sorxi will provide notice consistent with Section 12.

3. Pricing, currency, and taxes

  1. Disclosure before purchase. The price, the currency (U.S. dollars), and the billing cycle for any paid offering are disclosed to you in the Service before you complete the purchase. You confirm the charge at checkout.
  1. No prices stated here. This document does not state specific prices, amounts, or caps. The controlling figures are those shown to you at checkout ([PRICE — as disclosed at checkout]).
  1. Taxes. Prices shown may exclude applicable taxes. Any sales, use, or similar taxes that Sorxi is required to collect are added to your total and shown before you confirm, or are calculated and applied at checkout. You are responsible for applicable taxes on your purchase.
  1. Tax-collection approach. Sorxi is the seller of record. Applicable sales, use, or similar taxes are calculated and collected at checkout using Stripe Tax where Sorxi is registered or required to collect them.
  1. Payment method. You authorize Sorxi and its payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for the amounts disclosed at checkout, including recurring charges for a Subscription until you cancel.

4. How payments are processed

  1. Stripe hosted checkout. Payments are processed through Stripe, using Stripe's hosted checkout and billing (see the Subprocessors section of the Privacy Policy). Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
  1. Sorxi does not handle card data. Sorxi does not receive or store your full payment card number. Card data is handled by Stripe. Sorxi receives limited billing information such as your subscription and payment status.
  1. Live billing. Live billing is enabled. Paid offerings are charged automatically through Stripe at the price and billing cycle disclosed to you at checkout, and the automatic-renewal terms in Section 5 apply to Subscriptions. Sorxi presents the required disclosures at checkout before you confirm a purchase.
  1. Order confirmation and receipt. Sorxi provides an order confirmation and receipt by email for each purchase and each renewal. Transactional email runs through Resend (see the Subprocessors section of the Privacy Policy).

5. Automatic renewal (Subscription)

Please read this section carefully. It describes how your Subscription automatically renews and how you are charged on an ongoing basis.

  1. Automatic renewal. Your Subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing cycle and continues until you cancel. Sorxi (through Stripe) automatically charges your payment method the then-current Subscription price for each new cycle, unless you cancel before the cycle renews.
  1. Renewal terms disclosed at signup. Before you start a Subscription, Sorxi discloses the recurring price, the length of the billing cycle, and the fact that the Subscription renews automatically until cancelled. By starting the Subscription, you consent to these recurring charges.
  1. Renewal reminders and notices. At signup, Sorxi emails an acknowledgment stating the recurring price, the billing-cycle length, that the Subscription renews automatically until cancelled, and how to cancel. For plans with an annual or longer cycle, Sorxi emails a renewal reminder 30 days before each renewal charge. If the price changes, Sorxi emails notice 30 days before the first renewal at the new price. Cancellation is available in the Service and is no harder than signing up.
  1. Advance renewal-reminder notice. Sorxi applies one nationwide reminder standard rather than a per-state matrix: the 30-day annual-renewal reminder above is sent to every subscriber regardless of state. Subscribers on monthly plans also receive a reminder email at least once every twelve months stating the plan price, the billing frequency, and how to cancel. If a free trial of 31 days or longer ever converts to paid, Sorxi also emails a reminder 7 days before the first charge.
  1. Price changes at renewal. If the Subscription price changes, the new price applies to renewals that occur after the change, and Sorxi will give advance notice as described in Section 12. You may cancel before the change takes effect if you do not accept it.

6. Cancellation

  1. Easy self-service cancellation. You may cancel your Subscription at any time. Cancellation is available through a self-service control in Manage Account (a "click to cancel" path). Sorxi intends the cancellation path to be at least as easy to use as the signup path, consistent with FTC guidance. You do not need to call, email, or speak with anyone to cancel, although support is available if you prefer.
  1. When cancellation takes effect. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid term. You keep paid access for the remainder of the term you have already paid for, and your Subscription does not renew for the next cycle.
  1. What happens after cancellation. After a Subscription ends, your access degrades to read-only. You can still view, save, and export your existing library assets (your generated Deliverables and Outputs remain available to you consistent with the Terms of Use and the IP and License Terms). Paid tool functions that generate new work become unavailable until you resubscribe.
  1. Failed payment and grace period. If a renewal payment fails, Sorxi retries the charge up to four times over the 14 days after the failure. Paid access continues during those 14 days while you update your payment method. If no retry succeeds, paid access degrades to read-only as described above.
  1. No effect on separate purchases. Cancelling the Subscription does not by itself refund or cancel a-la-carte Content kits you have already purchased or Get Backup hour blocks you have already bought. Those are handled under Sections 7 and 8.

7. Content kits (a-la-carte)

  1. One-time purchases. Paid Content kits are individual, one-time purchases unless the checkout states otherwise. They are not included in the Subscription.
  1. Delivery. A purchased Content kit is delivered to your account as a library asset. Your rights to use it are governed by the Terms of Use and the IP and License Terms.
  1. Educational only. Content kits are educational and process-guidance materials. They are not clinical decision support, legal advice, or compliance or accreditation determinations, and they do not carry continuing-education credit, contact hours, or accreditation. See the disclaimers in the Terms of Use.
  1. Refunds. Refunds for Content kits are handled under Section 9.

8. Get Backup expert-services billing

Get Backup connects you to human help from a Sorxi Expert Nurse. These purchases are governed by the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, which control over these billing terms on any Get Backup-specific matter. This section summarizes how Get Backup bills; the Get Backup Expert Services Terms are the full terms.

  1. No free triage. There is no free triage or free consultation. You describe your need in the Service and Sorxi confirms the appropriate path. Where expert time is needed to scope a request before it can be routed or priced, that is the paid Scope Check described below.
  1. Service tiers. Get Backup is offered as defined tiers, with prices disclosed at checkout: a Scope Check (paid scoping and routing); a Help Block (one focused work aid or planning question, up to 60 minutes); a Work Block (up to 4 hours on a defined project, performed against a written scope confirmation); Additional Expert Time (added in increments, with your approval, when a project needs more time); and a Custom engagement (larger or organizational work, quoted and billed by invoice). See the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, Section 3.
  1. Charged upfront; Custom by invoice. The fixed tiers are charged upfront at purchase. A Custom engagement is billed by invoice after you accept a written quote. See the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, Sections 3 and 8.
  1. Scope Check credit. If you proceed with the recommended Work Block or Custom engagement for the same project within the period disclosed at purchase, the amount you paid for the Scope Check is credited toward it, as described in the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, Section 2.
  1. Scope confirmed before work starts. Before an Expert begins paid Work Block or Custom work, the scope of the work is confirmed with you in a short written scope confirmation that you approve. Work proceeds against that confirmed scope. Larger or organizational engagements may be handled under a separate order or statement of work (see the Project SOW Template).
  1. Unused time. Handling of unused time is as disclosed at purchase and in the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, Section 4: unused time may be applied to one related follow-up within the disclosed period, then expires; it is not transferable. If you need to cancel or change a scheduled engagement, contact help@sorxi.com as early as possible.
  1. "Reviewed with recommendations" is a status, not an approval. When an Expert returns a Deliverable marked "Reviewed with recommendations," that status describes the review that was done. It is not an approval, endorsement, certification, or sign-off, and it does not change the fees owed for the work. Every Deliverable still requires your local review and approval before use. See the disclaimers in the Terms of Use.
  1. Educational scope. Experts provide educational and policy-adjacent materials only. They do not provide clinical decision support, patient-specific advice, legal or compliance determinations, accreditation or survey-readiness claims, and they do not write, approve, or certify your organization's policy.
  1. Refunds and disputes. Refunds and chargeback handling for Get Backup are governed by the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, Sections 9 and 10, which control over Sections 9 and 10 of these billing terms on Get Backup matters.

9. Refunds

  1. Refund posture. Subscriptions: if this is your first Subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the first charge. If contact hours were awarded to you for a continuing-education activity included with the Subscription during that period, the refund is reduced by the then-current a-la-carte price of each such activity; the awarded hours and your certificate are not affected by the refund. Renewal charges are not refundable, but you can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the paid cycle. A-la-carte Content kits: refundable within 14 days of purchase unless the kit has been downloaded or the download link used, after which the purchase is final. Where applicable law gives you a broader right, that law controls.
  1. Get Backup expert services. Refunds for Get Backup are governed by the Get Backup Expert Services Terms, Section 9: a purchase is refundable up to your acceptance of the Deliverable and is final once accepted, with no fixed day-limit before acceptance; work already performed by an Expert reflects time already spent.
  1. Continuing-education activities. Where a continuing-education activity is purchased separately (not as part of a Subscription or membership that includes continuing-education content):

Refunds are available within 24 hours of purchase, provided you have not accessed the course content. After 24 hours the purchase is final, whether or not you have accessed the course. No contact hours are issued for an incomplete activity.

Live activities: the refund window runs from purchase and ends when the activity begins or 24 hours after purchase, whichever comes first, and there is no refund for non-attendance. If Sorxi cancels an activity, any fee paid is refunded in full.

Where a continuing-education activity is included with a Subscription or membership, the Subscription refund and cancellation terms in this Section 9 and in Section 6 govern, and access to the activity ends when the Subscription ends. The full participant terms, including these refund rules, are in the Continuing Education Participant Policy, published with each continuing-education activity as required for approved California Board of Registered Nursing providers.

  1. How to request a refund. To request a refund, email help@sorxi.com with your account email and the purchase you are asking about. Sorxi will respond and, where a refund is due under the applicable policy, process it to your original payment method through Stripe.
  1. Statutory rights. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable refund or cancellation rights you have under applicable law, including any that apply to automatic-renewal purchases.

10. Disputes and chargebacks

  1. Contact support first. If you believe you were charged in error or do not recognize a charge, please contact help@sorxi.com before disputing the charge with your bank or card issuer. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly and directly.
  1. Chargebacks. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, Sorxi may respond to the payment processor with records of the transaction and your account activity to address the dispute. While a chargeback is pending or after a chargeback is resolved against you, Sorxi may suspend or limit paid access associated with the disputed charge. Sorxi will work in good faith to resolve legitimate disputes.

11. Failed or unauthorized payments; account suspension

  1. Failed payments. If a payment fails or is reversed, Sorxi may suspend or limit paid access as described in Section 6.4 until the amount owed is resolved.
  1. Unauthorized use. You are responsible for charges incurred through your account. If you believe your account or payment method has been used without authorization, contact help@sorxi.com promptly. Because sign-in uses magic link or Google sign-in and there are no passwords, protect access to your email account.

12. Changes to pricing and to these terms

  1. Notice of price changes. Sorxi may change prices, run limits, block sizes, or billing cycles. For a Subscription, a price change applies to renewals occurring after the change, and Sorxi will give advance notice consistent with applicable automatic-renewal laws before the change takes effect. You may cancel before a price change takes effect if you do not accept it.
  1. Version pinning. The version of these billing terms in effect when you accept them is recorded and pinned to your account. When these terms change materially, Sorxi updates the document version and effective date and, where required, re-prompts you to review and accept the updated terms. See the Privacy Policy for how version acceptance is recorded.
  1. Continued use. Continuing to use paid features after a change takes effect, or allowing a Subscription to renew after notice of a change, means you accept the updated terms and pricing, to the extent permitted by law.
